My dad and sister always preferred the canned cranberry sauce. I never ate it until I made it fresh a few years ago. I like using that better and found a healthier version below. I even used less honey than listed and it tastes great!
12 oz bag of fresh cranberries
2 pears, chopped
1 c. water
1/2 c. honey or agave
1/2 – 1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. vanilla
1/4 t. nutmeg
Bring cranberries, pears, honey and water to a boil. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg.
