Looking for a healthy, quick and easy alternative to frozen burgers? Or cute, easy to make little finger foods?
Ingredients:
- One pound of extra lean ground turkey
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 small red onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 cup minced, fresh cilantro
- butter lettuce to wrap sliders
- optional toppings: avocado, onion, tomato, fresh salsa
Whisk together the egg white, onion, cumin and cilantro in a bowl. Add turkey and mix until blended. Shape turkey into about 3″ balls (makes about 8).
Cook on grill of stove top for about 6-8 minutes or until cooked through.
Place each slider on a leaf of butter lettuce or small whole wheat roll and top with desired veggies.
