Client(S) of the Month: Jen Allerton AND Linda Drohosky
Choosing this month was tough! So many folks brought their best over the fall. But these two were unique in that they worked together as a team to keep themselves accountable, weighing in every week and texting one another to stay in check. AND it worked! Just goes to show you when you focus and put your mind towards something, you can achieve what you want! And having support is key!
Here’s what Jen Allerton has to say!
Born in? Abington, PA
When did you start training with MFitness?
I started at MFitness at the very first 6 week challenge back in February of 2016.
What does the MFtiness for Life culture mean to you?
My whole life has been a series of diets and work out regimens that I never stuck with. I would try the newest fad diet or start a new workout plan that after awhile I would just give up. The fact that I have been working out consistently for almost 2 years speaks volumes to the MFitness community. Not only do I have fabulous coaches that know me, encourage me, and challenge me, I have formed friendships with people that I would never have met outside of MFitness. I am so grateful to have all of these encouraging people in my life that are also on the same journey of health and fitness.
Favorite exercise?
I love anything that requires me to lift heavy weights. I like challenging myself that way. If I have to pick one, I’d say the DVRT sandbag clean is my favorite. Michele has a new goal for me with exercise!
Least favorite exercise?
Oh Janine knows the answer to this one…. definitely the sit out.
What do you do when you’re not at MFitness?
My most important job is being a mom. I have four sons ranging in age from 23-14 and they keep me busy! I work full time at the Party Center in Phoenixville which I love. My husband and I love to travel with our good friends. We love to spend time at the beach every summer too.
Guilty indulgences?
Definitely a glass of wine with the girls.
Your secret to success in sticking with your fitness journey here at MFitness?
I would say accountability definitely has helped me to stay on track. Specifically, with this last challenge. Linda and I checked in with each other several times a week in addition to doing a weekly weigh in. Being accountable to someone other than myself has motivated me to work hard and keep getting results. Linda and I have decided to keep doing this during the holiday season so we can continue to stay healthy and strong and hopefully keep getting the results we want!

When did you start training with MFitness?
I started with your first 21 Day Challenge. I believe it was February, 2016.
What does the MFtiness for Life culture mean to you?
MFitness has provided me a much needed boost. With both our children away at college I knew it was time to focus on my health and to develop some new friendships. I’m happy I found a community in which I have fun while exercising. I love how everyone supports one another and welcomes new members with open arms. I have not only improved my health but have also developed some great friendships.
Favorite exercise?
Not sure I have one favorite exercise but I enjoy quick interval workouts best.
Least favorite exercise?
Anything with a sandbag (sorry)
What do you do when you’re not at MFitness?
Other than work, I like to spend time with my family and our two Jack Russell Terrier puppy’s.
Guilty indulgences? Weekend dinners out with my husband
