At home workouts! S-NO-W excuses…

Stuck at home due to crappy weather?  On vacation with no gym or no clue what to do while you’re there?

Never fun to step away from the gym but when you are on vacation or your facility is closed due to winter weather, you can always get something in on your own.

I wouldn’t want to train without weights all of the time, but there is plenty you can do to get you through when there is no other option.

Today’s workout
15 Sumo Squat jumps or Sumo Squats (just take your feet wider apart)
10 high to low boat
15 each Bulgarian Split Squat
10 one jump forward, 2 small jumps back
12 plank to  rotational plank
15 pushups
Repeat circuit 3-5 times

When you assess your health, think about these things:

  • How do I view my body?
  • How often do I move my body?
  • Do I allow myself proper recovery time or do I obsess when I miss a day of training?
  • Are my sleep habits healthy?
  • Do I follow the 80/20 rule of health eating?
  • Do I supplement my nutrition properly, meaning multi-vitamin, natures inflammatory (fish oil or numeric), pre and post workout?
  • Do I schedule time in to my week to relax and spend time with loved ones or alone time?
  • Do I practice gratitude and giving back or some form of spirituality?
  • Do I have a healthy attitude towards my finances?
  • Do I have unhealthy relationships that need to be addressed?
  • Do I drink too much alcohol or eat too many sugary things?
  • Do I subscribe to the “all or nothing” way of exercise and nutrition?
  • Do you HATE your job and loathe going to work every day?
That’s just a list…I’m sure you can add others.  And maybe some do not resonate with you at all.    Just food for thought.
